Mathematics for the Trades

Prerequisite: Algebra I & Geometry 

Course Description: This one-semester course will reinforce topics covered in algebra 1 and 2 and geometry and apply those to Trade Careers including but not limited to construction, HVAC, Nursing, Interior Design, Agriculture, and Welding.  Opportunities for authentic learning will include building scale models, labs, and possibly helping the community with other construction-based problems.  Students will get a mathematical foundation to apply to trade careers.  Algebra 1 and Geometry are required to take this course.
