Survey of Vocal Expression/Swing Choir

This course will be taken in conjunction with Chorale
Prerequisite: Audition
10th - 12th
During the 1st quarter, we would work on a chamber or vocal jazz group that would perform at our winter concert a selection of songs that would pertain to the jazz music genre. 2nd and 3rd quarters would be devoted to The Swingin’ ‘Dors mixed musical ensemble that combines choral singing with choreographed dance, often with an overarching theme. We will prepare for this themed show that will take place in April. The 4th quarter would be planning and preparing solo/small ensemble groups to perform at the Fine Arts Festival or a separate Variety Show centered around a theme as well.
