Survey of Education

Grades: 11th/12th Grade

Prerequisite: Child Development I and II or Psychology

Course Description: This course has been designed to help students develop a foundational knowledge of the teaching profession. Students will examine the American education system from a sociological, historical, and philosophical perspective. The class provides a broad overview of the field of education including foundations, theory, roles of teachers, students, and curriculum/instructional practices.
