DMACC Composition II

Semester:
Spring

Prerequisite: DMACC Composition I (C or better)

Considerations: This is an elective, concurrent course: students earn college credit for DMACC English 106 (Composition II) as well as Boone High English credit. It is offered only in the spring semester. In May, students are encouraged to take the AP English Language and Composition exam.

Students continue to practice rhetorical analysis in this course, enabling them to analyze and evaluate complex texts and arguments and to create their own effective arguments. Students further develop skills in critical reading and viewing as well as expository and persuasive writing and speaking.

*This course is taught at BHS by a BHS instructor.
