Chorale

Grades: 10th / 11th / 12th

Prerequisite: Students must audition for membership.

Course Description: This is primarily a performance ensemble. Membership is contingent upon the following:

• Students must have average reading capabilities.

• Students must be able to match pitch and recognize simple rhythm patterns.

• Students must abide by the school's code of conduct policy.

This class will meet daily and receive one credit per semester. Grading will be based upon lesson attendance, class participation, performance and written tests, and concert attendance. Other opportunities will be All-State, State Solo, and Small Ensemble Contest, Swing Choir (by audition), and Honor Choir Festivals (by recommendations).
