Chorale
Semester:
Fall and Spring
Prerequisite: By Audition - Grades 10th, 11th, and 12th only
Course Description: This is primarily a performance ensemble. Membership is contingent upon the following:
• Students must have average reading capabilities.
• Students must be able to match pitch and recognize simple rhythm patterns.
• Refraining from drug or alcohol usage.
• Refraining from requiring severe disciplinary actions to be taken.
This class will meet daily and receive one credit per semester. Grading will be based upon lesson attendance, class participation, performance and written tests, and concert attendance. Other opportunities will be All-State, State Solo, and Small Ensemble Contest, Swing Choir (by audition), and Honor Choir Festivals (by recommendations).
