Literature and Film Studies

Grades: 10th / 11th / 12th

Prerequiste: Freshman English 

Course Description: Students will read different types of texts (novels, short stories, nonfiction) and analyze their film adaptations. The literature focus will be on how the texts are written and how they are interpreted by different audiences. The film focus will look at how directors create and frame a scene, and adapt a work of literature into a new genre.

Considerations: Literature and Film Studies can not be used in lieu of required English courses.
