DMACC Western Civ: Early Modern to Present

Prerequisite: Proficiency on IA Assessments. 

Recommendation: It is strongly advised that before enrolling in this course, students need to be a junior or senior by credits, or have completed Freshman honors English, or have a teacher recommendation from a social studies teacher or an English teacher indicating that they believe that the student can handle college-level reading comprehension, writing, and workload that comes with taking a college course as a high school student

Description: Survey of political, economic, social and intellectual developments from the 18th century to the present. Enlightenment, revolutions and reactions, national unification, national rivalries, world wars, and postwar developments.
