Physics

Semester: 
Fall and Spring

Prerequisite: Algebra II, enrolled in additional math or instructors permission

Course Description: Physics is a full-year course, usually taken by seniors who are academically oriented. Algebra I and II are necessary courses to help the student do well in physics. Areas of study include mechanics, which is the study of motions and their causes as well as either wave properties or electricity. Strong emphasis is placed on the student’s ability to solve problems and use laboratory procedures to prove or verify the principles of physics.
