Prerequiste9-12 students in the EXCEL program. 

Course Description: To meet the academic, social and emotional, and affective needs of students in the EXCEL program, students have the option to explore their identified growth areas with the guidance, feedback, and support of the EXCEL teacher. In this course, students improve skills that will help them be successful in post-secondary education, the workplace, and their personal lives. Examples of cognitive needs include: meeting deadlines, time management, how to accept others’ opinions and knowledge of a subject, how to work in a cooperative setting, employability skills, perfectionism, handling frustrations, handling failure, how to be a self-advocate, self-confidence/self-esteem, asynchronous development, heightened sensitivity, intensities, and underachievement.
