Prerequisite: Intro to 2D/3D Art

Course Description: This class is designed for students who have an interest in working with clay, and it gives students experience in making functional as well as sculptural pieces, using a variety of techniques. The hand building techniques are emphasized. Basic potter’s wheel techniques will be introduced. Well thought out forms, designs and functional uses, along with good craftsmanship are emphasized.

Considerations: Students will be required to brainstorm and sketch their ideas before starting every project. Students’ clothing may get dirty while working with clay.
