Introduction to Psychology

Grade: 10,11,12 (1 semester)

Course Description: This course is designed to be a survey of Psychology topics. Students will gain insight into the field, potential careers, and major areas of psychology including cognition (memory & problem solving), consciousness, personality, development, research methods and learning. Students will explore some aspects of abnormal psychology as well should time permit.

This is the prerequisite for AP Psychology. Students graduating in 2020 and beyond must have completed this credit to take AP Psychology, unless explicit permission is received from the instructor of AP Psychology to waive the Intro course.
