Prerequisite: One year in a school performance ensemble or instructor permission.

Course Description: This is a one-year course, which would help meet the needs of students entering the field of music or students with an intense interest in music.

This course is divided into two main subjects:

Grades: 9th / 10th / 11th / 12th

Prerequisite: None

Grades: 11th / 12th Grade

Prerequisite: 9th / 10th Grade band or basic playing ability on a wind or percussion instrument with audition by the student and approval of the instructor (for both the high school and symphonic band).

Fee: $40 if using a school instrument

Prerequisite: Middle school band or basic playing ability on a wind or percussion instrument with audition by the student and approval of the instructor (for both the high school and symphonic band).

Prerequisite: Students must audition for membership.

Course Description: This is primarily a performance ensemble. Membership is contingent upon the following:

• Students must have average reading capabilities.

• Students must be able to match pitch and recognize simple rhythm patterns.

• Students must abide by the school's code of conduct policy.
