Important: This course does not meet your senior year writing course requirement.

Students in this class take on a leadership and mentoring role as they help incoming students with the application of written and oral communication skills through a variety of formal and informal experiences. This course is performance-based and emphasizes effective interpersonal and team-building skills. This course teaches news writing and other aspects of interviewing, writing, editing, and publication. Included are lead writing, news writing, editorial writing, feature writing, sports writing, headline writing, and photojournalism.
