10th - 12th Grade Students

Considerations: Students will be required to brainstorm and sketch their ideas before starting every project. Students’ clothing may get dirty while working with clay.

Course Description: This class is designed for students who have an interest in working with clay, and it gives students experience in making functional as well as sculptural pieces, using a variety of techniques. The hand building techniques are emphasized.Basic potter’s wheel techniques will be introduced.Well thought out forms, designs and functional uses, along with good craftsmanship are emphasized.
