Advanced Graphic Design

Grades: 10th / 11th / 12th

Prerequisite: Graphic Design

Course Description: This is for student who wants to continue to grow in their graphic design and Photoshop skills. This is a project-based class that creates promo cards and graphics for BooneTV's website, Facebook, Twitter, and school televisions.

Advanced Video Production

Grades: 10th / 11th / 12th

Prerequisite: Video Production

Course Description: This class is for student who has successfully completed Video Production. This is Year 2 of BooneTV. Advanced Video Production is conducted with an instructor as a mentor, enabling students to take leadership roles in Boone TV. This course allows students an opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills.

*Based upon student interest, this class may require an application/interview process.

Computer Programming (Hybrid)

Prerequisite: None

Course Description: Computer Programming provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to construct computer programs in one or more languages. Computer coding and program structure are often introduced with languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Initially, students learn to structure, create, document, and debug computer programs, and as they progress, more emphasis is placed on design, style, clarity, and efficiency.

Graphic Design

Grades: 9th / 10th / 11th / 12th

Prerequisite: Computer Applications

Course Description: The focus of this project-based class is to learn Adobe Photoshop and Premiere and apply those skills to creating promo cards and graphics for BooneTV's website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and school televisions.

Video Prodcution

Grades: 9th / 10th / 11th / 12th

Prerequisite: None

Course Description: Students will work in teams and individually as they complete different tasks and projects associated with creating digital broadcasts and video production for Boone TV. The major components of this course will be the creation of daily announcements, news stories, feature stories, sports recaps, sports features, promos, and senior videos.

*Students earn Career Technical Education (CTE) credit
