Financial Math

11th and 12th Grade Students

Financial Math reinforces general mathematics skills in combination with algebra 2 standards, and uses these skills in a variety of financial and consumer applications. This course will reinforce general mathematics topics (Unit Rates, Sequences, Linear and Exponential equations, statistics, and computer programing) by applying these skills to finance and consumer problems and situations. Applications might include bargain shopping, savings and retirement, investing, depreciation, sales, interest, loans, and repeated transactions.

Students will need to complete the first semester of algebra II.
